Two halves: what belongs to the library that is open, and what belongs to Tessera on this computer.
#This library
General
- Name: what the switcher and the top bar call it.
- Folder: where it lives, with a button to show it in Finder or Explorer.
- Packs Tessera is sure about: when on, a pack whose license is stated in the download, or set by your rule for its site, goes straight into the library. Off sends everything to Review.
- Close this library: back to the welcome screen, to open or make another. Backups and sync carry on as set.

Sync — see Sync.
Bin
- Keep deleted things for: a week, a month, or until you empty it yourself.
- Open the bin, and empty it.
Previews and index
- Read the library again: reads every pack from scratch. Useful after moving or editing files by hand; Tessera normally notices on its own.
- Thumbnails: how much space the drawn previews take, with a button to clear them. They are drawn again as you browse.
- File previews: build them for this library or every library, retry the ones that failed, or stop the work.

Appearance
- Theme: follow the system, or pin light or dark.
- Color: the accent the window uses.
Sites: the rules you have settled for each site, with the license and creator to assume. Editing or removing one changes what happens to the next pack from that site.
Downloads
- When a download finishes: add it straight away or hold it.
- How many at once.
AI agents — see AI agents.
Paired computers: the computers this one syncs libraries with.
Helpers: the small official programs Tessera fetches when you ask for a feature that needs them: Kopia for backups, rclone for cloud storage, Syncthing for sync. Each shows its version and where it came from, and can be removed.
Privacy and problems
- Error reports: never, ask each time, or always. Off by default.
- Report a problem: opens an issue with the details already filled in.
- Logs: show the log folder, or open today's log.
